Today is day 8 of our rare disease awareness initiative. I was contacted by Riham, who wanted to share her story of her two boys, Omar and Adam, who have X-Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). Another story, where mum knows best. Riham would not accept the first diagnosis, as she knew something else was causing the symptoms in her second son.

He would say, “I don’t like to ride the bike or do any sport or activities” I guess he meant he could not, but he was unable to express his feelings because of his young age.
