ABOUT ME

After being awarded a first class honours degree in Biological Sciences (Immunology & Genetics), I worked as a research assistant in the HIV vaccine development department at the Edward Jenner Institute, UK.

To continue career progression, I began a PhD programme at the University of Wales, College of Medicine, entitled, "The Role of Complement & Cytokines in the Pathogenesis of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)". Developing new drug delivery strategies to target anti-inflammatory regulators to the synovial membrane.

Following completion of my PhD research, I left academia to join the pharmaceutical industry. My roles evolved through 8 years in clinical research and subsequently 10 years in medical communications.

Coufetery Comms was founded in 2018, after emigrating to France and wishing to continue my freelance career as a medical writer.
