I am Claire, and I have Fabry Disease

On Day 6 of rare disease awareness, we are sharing Claire's story. Claire's diagnosis story is a protracted and frightening one, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but also being given a label of 'hypochrondriac'. Fabry disease is considered a male-dominated condition due to the inheritance pattern, and is often not considered in females. But, females can have Fabry. If any of the symptoms that Claire describes, resonates with you, then consider Fabry. If this initiative can prevent someone having the same experience, it will be a success.
